Quick Tomato Pasta Sauce

Ingredients
  • 1 Large Onion - chopped finely
  • 3 Garlic Cloves - chopped finely
  • 1 Bottle of Passata (700ml / 24oz)
  • 1 tbsp Dried Basil
  • 1 tbsp Dried Oregano
  • 1 tsp Sea Salt
  • 1 tbsp Stevia or Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 cup water
Instructions
  1. Heat Olive Oil in a heavy based saucepan or pot.
  2. Add onion and garlic. Stir on medium heat until softened and starting to brown.
  3. Stir in basil and oregano.
  4. Add passata and stir. Add 1 cup of water to the Passata bottle and shake well before adding to the sauce.
  5. Add salt and Stevia/sugar.
  6. Taste to check if you need more salt or sugar.
  7. Either serve immediately or allow to simmer on low heat until required.
